EVENTS IN AND AROUND MORETONHAMPSTEAD

The 24th Dartmoor Devil cycle ride on 30 October

It is a relatively small event with a maximum field of just 250 riders which are split in to two groups, each starting an hour apart. 

The event is not a race, indeed there is a maximum and minimum time.  The route is entirely on road, and largely in the lanes and the riders quickly spread out, and therefore cause relatively limited disruption to the normal Sunday activities.

The route heads directly to the parish on the A382, and heads down Lime Street from the centre of Moretonhampstead, and over Mardon Down to Clifford Bridge, thereafter heading out of the parish.   The riders will still be in the two groups, entering from around 8.10 - 8.25 and 9.10 - 9.25, and reaching Clifford Bridge between 8.40 and 10.25.
