£7.20 per hour plus 1.85% market forces payment

15 hours per week (3.30pm - 6.30pm Monday to Friday)

41 weeks per annum

(38 weeks term-time plus 3 weeks deep clean across the school holidays)

JOB DESCRIPTION     January 2017

 

HOURS OF WORK     11.25 hours per week (times tbc)   £8.50 per hr  £4,972 pa

AIM of the POST

 

The aims of the Trust are to further the social, economic and community regeneration of Moretonhampstead.  The post holder will help to further these by working closely with Trustees, volunteers and other staff. In particular it is to run Green Hill and its resources cost-effectively, so as to meet the needs of its users and the local community.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Hiring, letting of Green Hill space (other than the Gallery), administration of leases and licences, and related tasks

Caretaking – ensuring hirers can enter the building when necessary and that it is secure afterwards – working with colleagues and volunteers

Marketing of spaces, offices and studios

Ensuring cleanliness of Green Hill, including line management of the Cleaner

Mediating in minor disputes about use of the building

Repairs, maintenance, servicing of equipment

Maintenance and cost-effective use of utilities - electricity, gas and heating system, waste, water.

Security - keys and security system, including alarms

Insurance

Compliance - including First Aid Officer, Fire Officer, Health and Safety Officer, landlord boiler certificate, PAT tests, and risk assessments.

Equipment - managing computers, photocopier, till, projector, screen etc.

Office administration and organisation, liaising with the Finance Officer and Arts Officer to ensure effective co-ordination of the services provided by the Trust  

Communication internal and external

Maintenance and updating of MDT website

Administration of Christmas events in Moretonhampstead

Other tasks as requested by the Trustees, e.g. maintaining the Policies folder, helping to organise events, board meetings and general marketing

.

REPORTING ARRANGMENTS

 

The post holder reports to the Chair of the Trust, also to the Trustee responsible for premises in respect of those items marked. **

Looking for kind and compassionate carers, senior carers and night carers who feel they can make a difference at our Residential Home in Moretonhampstead.  You need to have a genuine interest in the people you care for and support their dignity, independance and well being.

Flexible working hours to include alternate weekends.

Night carer shifts are from 8pm to 8am and include alternate weekends.

Any offer of employment is subject to a current DBS and two references.
